Workshop
Every September the Goddard Youth Camp
puts on a wonderful workshop. Schools,
Church groups, organizations and individuals
are invited to a weekend of great fun. You will
have a learning experience unlike any that you
have probably been through before.
An Intense 3 day outdoor ADULT (no children
allowed) learning "boot camp."
During the workshop you will travel all of our
trails. The seasoned staff will "not teach you"
but provide you the knowledge to teach
yourself how to present your lesson plan(s).
It is "almost" a requirement to (at least) visit our
camp, for a tour, prior to coming with your
campers. This workshop allows you to work
out in your own way the logistics for your
programs. Familiarizing yourself with the
camp is a huge part of our workshop. After
the workshop your heightened knowledge and
confidence will insure you and your charges
have a great camping experience.
You are able to visit and compare notes with
other teachers, administrators and councilors,
of their experiences, during visits to Goddard
Youth Camp.
You will have 4 meals a day. Yes that's right 4
meals..... Our food service is a "little"
different than our regular food service
program. We provide 3 meals; breakfast,
lunch and dinner and there is also a nightly
snack. Our nightly snack includes boiled
shrimp, gourmet cheese trays and many other
snack delights. This is a great time to relax
"un-wind" and socialize.
